Aimee_JL 1.5L Whiskey Barrel Dispenser Oak Aging Barrels Home Decanter Red Wine

About this barrel

This 1.5L oak barrel decanter for red wine is aimed squarely at red wine fans. It's sold under the Aimee_JL name and listed new at $60.64. It also works as a whiskey barrel dispenser, so one piece covers both your wine rack and your bar.

What does a small oak barrel do to red wine?

Oak can soften harsh edges and add vanilla, spice or toast notes. In a barrel this small, those changes happen fast. Taste every day or two, and pour the wine off once you like it.

• Swelling: soak the barrel before the first fill.
• Short stays: don't leave wine in for long periods, because it can oxidize.
• Switching: rinse it well when you move between wine and whiskey.
• Details: check the listing for the stand, tap and finish.
