3L Wine Barrel Dispenser Bucket Casks For Bourbon Whiskey Restaurant Decor (USA)

About this barrel

A 3L oak wine barrel dispenser hits a sweet spot: it's big enough for four standard 750 ml bottles and small enough for a counter. This new cask is marketed for bourbon, whiskey and restaurant decor, at $19.99.

How long should I age whiskey in a 3 liter barrel?

There's no fixed rule. A 3 liter barrel works more slowly than a 1 liter but still much faster than a full-size cask, so start tasting after a couple of weeks and bottle it when you like the flavor.

• Seasoning: soak it with water until the staves swell and stop leaking.
• Versatility: try wine, bourbon or rum, then use it for homemade vinegar once it's well used.
• Details not listed: char level, spigot and stand aren't specified, so check the photos.
• 'USA' in the title: ask the seller what it refers to if it matters to you.
