Mini Mezcal Barrel with Stand Bung and Spigot w/ Engraved Agave Harvest Scene 1L

About this barrel

This mini mezcal barrel holds 1 liter and comes with a stand, bung and spigot, plus an engraved agave harvest scene on the oak. It's listed used at $18.00, so it suits agave spirit fans who want a display piece that can also rest tequila or mezcal.

Can a used 1 liter oak barrel still age spirits?

Often it can, but a pre-owned cask may have dried out. Swell it again with water and watch for leaks before you trust it with liquor.

• Look at the photos for cracks, loose hoops or wear on the engraving.
• Ask the seller what it held before, because past contents affect flavor.
• At 1L, the spirit gets lots of oak contact, so taste often.
• The listing doesn't state a char level. Ask if it matters for your recipe.
