Hammer and Axe Wood Whiskey Barrel 800 ML 26 FL OZ For Spirits New in Box

About this barrel

Looking for a compact cask to finish a bottle of rye or bourbon? The Hammer and Axe whiskey barrel holds 800 ml, about 26 fl oz, and this one is listed new in box at $18.00 by an independent eBay seller.

How fast does an 800 ml whiskey barrel age liquor?

Much faster than a full-size cask, because a small barrel exposes more oak to each ounce. Start tasting after a few days and bottle the spirit when it suits your palate.

• Fill it with water first so the wood swells and seals.
• The listing doesn't mention a char level, so check the photos or ask.
• Confirm what's in the box, such as a stand or tap.
• It also works as a spirits dispenser on a home bar between batches.
