20L Vertical Wooden Wine Barrel w/ Faucet&Bracket for storing whiskey, rum, brandy

About this barrel

An oak whiskey barrel under $100 that still holds a good-size batch isn't always easy to find. This 20L vertical barrel is listed at $94.55, and its title includes a faucet and bracket. That's about 5.3 gallons for whiskey, rum or brandy.

What should you ask before buying a budget oak barrel?

The price doesn't tell you everything. A quick read of the description and a message to the seller can fill in the gaps.

• Is the inside charred, toasted or untreated?
• What is the faucet made of, and can it be replaced?
• How big is the barrel overall when it sits on the bracket?
• Does the seller include care or curing instructions?

Whatever the answers, plan to swell the barrel with water before filling it. The listing shows new condition, and purchases are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
