Antique Wooden Oak Barrel Decanter W/ Stand Bronze Dispensing Valve Germany

About this barrel

This antique oak barrel decanter sits on its own stand and pours through a bronze dispensing valve, and the title names Germany. Listed as used at $328.00, it's an old-world serving piece for wine, brandy or schnapps on a sideboard or bar.

Can you still pour from an antique oak barrel decanter?

Possibly, but test it first. Fill it with water, let the wood swell, and watch the valve and seams for drips before you trust it with anything you plan to drink.

• Valve: ask whether the bronze tap turns freely and seals.
• Interior: ask for photos or notes on cleanliness and any odors.
• Size: capacity isn't stated, so confirm the dimensions.
• Origin: check whether any markings back up the German origin.

Even if it ends up as decor only, the stand and bronze tap make it a charming display. Covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
