Oak barrels, 3L, best gift

About this barrel

Looking for a 3L oak barrel gift that will get used instead of sitting on a shelf? This new 3 liter oak aging barrel is listed on eBay for $85.70. It lets the person you give it to put their own mark on whiskey, brandy, rum or a batched cocktail.

How fast does a 3 liter oak barrel age spirits?

Quickly. A small barrel puts more wood in contact with each ounce, so a 3L cask can show real changes in color and flavor within a few weeks. Taste often so it doesn't get too oaky.
