Premium Charred American Oak Aging Barrel (1 Liter) - No Engraving/Includes 12

About this barrel

Shopping for a charred American oak aging barrel in 1 liter? This new mini barrel has no engraving, so it suits anyone who wants a plain cask for small-batch whiskey, bourbon-style spirits or barrel-aged cocktails. The title ends with 'Includes 12' and is cut off there, so read the full listing to confirm what comes in the box.

What does the char do in a 1L American oak barrel?

Charring caramelizes the sugars in the wood. That adds color, vanilla and toasty notes and helps soften harsh edges. In a barrel this small those flavors show up fast, so start tasting early.

• Fill it with water first and let it swell until the leaks stop.
