30L Vintage Wood Wine Barrel Dispenser for Beer Brandy Tequila Whiskey Rum Port

About this barrel

Tequila turning reposado, whiskey picking up color, rum gaining depth: a 30L oak barrel dispenser handles all of it in volume. This new barrel has a vintage wood look, and its listing names beer, brandy and port among its uses too.

How should you care for a 30L oak barrel dispenser?

Treat the wood as if it's alive. Keep the barrel full or wet, store it away from heat and check for drips. Oak shrinks when it dries out and swells when it's soaked.

• Before the first fill, soak it with water until the leaks stop.
• Between batches, rinse and refill quickly, or keep a little water inside.
• Sample from the tap every few weeks, because big barrels work slowly.
• Check the listing for interior char, which shapes color and flavor.
