Red Head Barrels 5L Premium Charred Oak Aging Barrel Whiskey Wine Rum Scotch

About this barrel

Many home agers like the five-liter size, and the Red Head Barrels 5L charred oak aging barrel is made for whiskey, wine, rum or scotch-style projects. It's new and listed at $80.86.

How long should I age spirits in a 5L charred oak barrel?

There's no fixed timeline. A 5-liter barrel works more slowly than a 1L or 2L mini, so many people taste every couple of weeks and bottle when they like the flavor.

• Swell it with water before use to tighten the staves.
• The charred interior adds color and toasty sweetness.
• It holds enough for a party-sized batch of barrel-aged cocktails.
• Check the listing to see whether a stand, spigot or bung is included.

Buyers are protected by the eBay Money Back Guarantee. It's a solid pick if you've outgrown a mini barrel and want slower, more controlled aging.
