ANTIQUE RICHARDSON ROOT BEER FOOTED OAK BARREL SODA FOUNTAIN DISPENSER FOR PARTS

About this barrel

Restorers and soda fountain collectors, take note: this antique Richardson root beer barrel dispenser is a footed oak piece offered strictly as for parts or not working, at $750.00. That condition label makes it a project piece, not a ready-to-pour display.

Is a for-parts Richardson root beer barrel dispenser worth restoring?

It can be, if the oak body, feet and branding are intact and you can source the missing or broken parts. Ask exactly what doesn't work and what's missing.

• Ask for photos of the interior, the tap and any internal fittings.
• Confirm the overall size, which isn't in the data.
• Budget for restoration time and parts on top of the purchase price.
• Even as display only, a footed barrel makes a striking soda fountain accent.
