5L Oak Aging Barrel Mini Whiskey Barrels Age Cocktails, Bourbon, Whisky, Tequila

About this barrel

If 1L and 2L barrels feel too small, a 5L oak aging barrel has room to age a real batch of cocktails, bourbon, whisky or tequila. This new mini whiskey barrel is listed at $58.99.

How long should you age spirits in a 5 liter barrel?

There's no single answer. A 5L cask works more slowly than tiny barrels, which gives you more time before the oak takes over. Taste every week or two and bottle it when you like the flavor.

• Batch size: 5 liters holds roughly six to seven standard 750 ml bottles.
• Tequila tip: a few weeks on oak can push a blanco toward a reposado-style profile.
• Seal first: fill the barrel with water and let it swell before adding spirits.
• Check the listing: the char level, stand and spigot details aren't given here.
