1 Gallon Oak Barrel - Wooden Whiskey Barrel Wine Barrel (5 Liter) - For The H...

About this barrel

A 1 gallon oak barrel is a popular size for home aging. It's big enough for a real batch but still ages faster than a large cask. This new wooden whiskey and wine barrel is listed at $203.46 by an independent eBay seller.

Is it 1 gallon or 5 liters?

The title gives both, and the item data says 5.0L. A US gallon is closer to 3.8 liters, so check the listing description or ask the seller for the exact capacity before you plan a batch.

• Uses: aging whiskey, finishing wine, or barrel-aging beer or vinegar.
• Setup: soak it in water until the staves swell and stop weeping, then fill.
• Timing: a small wooden barrel changes flavor quickly, so taste often.
• Details to confirm: whether it's charred, and if a spigot or stand is included.

Bought through eBay, it's covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
