1 Gallon Wooden Whiskey Barrel, 5 Liter Charred American White Oak Cask

About this barrel

American white oak is the traditional wood for bourbon, and this charred American white oak barrel brings that pairing to a home-sized cask. The title calls it both 1 gallon and 5 liters. It's new and listed at $167.22 by an independent eBay seller.

Why choose a charred American white oak barrel for whiskey?

Charred American oak tends to add vanilla, toffee and toasty notes, plus a deep amber color. That suits bourbon, rye and dark rum.

• Capacity: a US gallon is about 3.8L, so check the description for the true volume.
• The title doesn't give a char level, so ask the seller if you want a light or heavy char.
• Swell the cask with water until it stops weeping before you fill it.
• Check the photos to see which accessories are included.

The purchase is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
