1 Gallon American Oak Bourbon Aging Barrel (5 Liter) with Wood Stand, Bung and S

About this barrel

Bourbon fans who want to age or finish a batch at home can look at this 1 gallon American oak bourbon aging barrel, listed at $160.00. It's new and sold by an independent eBay seller. The title mentions a wood stand, a bung and what looks like a spigot, though the word is cut off.

How do you start with a 1 gallon American oak bourbon barrel?

Prep it, fill it and taste it. With small casks, a few simple steps go a long way.

• Fill it with water and let it sit until the staves swell and the leaks stop.
• Drain it, then add bourbon, white whiskey or another spirit.
• Taste weekly, because small barrels can turn woody fast.
• Confirm the capacity, since the title lists both 1 gallon and 5 liters.

Once the barrel is used up, it still looks good on its wood stand as bar decor. The eBay Money Back Guarantee applies.
