Red Head Barrels 2L Charred Oak Aging Barrel for 2 Liter, Brown, black

About this barrel

The Red Head Barrels 2L charred oak aging barrel is a small, quick way to put oak and char to work on a few bottles' worth of spirit. It's new and listed at $95.05, and the title mentions brown and black.

How fast does a 2L charred oak aging barrel work?

Mini barrels have a lot of wood surface for their volume, so flavor and color build much faster than in large casks. Start tasting within the first week or two so the spirit doesn't get too oaky.

• The charred inside suits bourbon-style whiskey, rum and aged cocktails.
• Soak it with water until the staves seal before adding spirit.
• The title says brown and black, so check the photos for the exact finish.
• Check the listing for the char level and whether a stand or spigot is included.
