Pooch Hooch Saint Bernard 0.5L Keg Dispenser Charred Oak Aging Dog Collar

About this barrel

This Saint Bernard 0.5L keg dispenser takes the classic rescue-dog barrel and turns it into a tiny charred oak aging keg sized for a collar. An independent eBay seller lists the Pooch Hooch piece as new for $86.38. It suits dog lovers who also enjoy whiskey, rum or a homemade infusion.

Can a 0.5L charred oak keg actually age spirits?

Yes, and fast. At half a liter there is a lot of wood for very little liquid, so color and oak flavor build quickly. Start tasting after a few days.

• Fill the keg with water before the first use so the staves swell and seal.
• Check the listing photos for the collar strap, the dispensing spout and the bung.
• A fun gift for a Saint Bernard owner or a talking piece for a home bar.
• If you want to put it on a real dog, ask the seller for the size first.
