Plantation Rum Barrel W/ Stand

About this barrel

If you're looking for a used Plantation rum barrel with stand, an independent eBay seller lists this one at $145.00. Used rum casks still hold some spirit in the wood. That's why home brewers and distillers look for them to add a rum finish to beer or whiskey.

What should you check before buying a used rum barrel?

The size isn't given, so start there. Then find out how the barrel has been stored. A dry cask may need soaking before it holds liquid again.

• Ask for the measurements and capacity if they aren't in the description.
• Ask if the barrel was emptied recently or has been sitting dry.
• Check the hoops and staves in the photos for rust or splits.
• Your purchase is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.

Not planning to fill it? It still looks great in a home bar.
