Vintage Plantation Rum Barrel. W/ Stand.

About this barrel

A vintage Plantation rum barrel with stand adds a rum-bar feel to a home bar, game room or patio. An independent eBay seller lists this one used at $145.00. The size isn't given, so look closely at the photos and description for measurements.

Can a vintage rum barrel still be used for aging?

Maybe, but think of it as decor first. Old, used barrels can dry out, so you won't know if it leaks or what shape the wood is in until you see it or ask the seller.

• Ask for the measurements and whether the stand is wood or metal.
• Look for cracks, loose hoops or gaps between the staves in the photos.
• It works well as a display piece, a stand for bottles or a conversation starter.
• Your purchase is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.

If you like rum or collect bar items, this used barrel is something different for your space.
