0.8L Visualized Oak Aging Barrel Stand Bung Mini

About this barrel

A 0.8L mini oak aging barrel is about as small as home aging gets. That small volume is the point: more of the liquid touches wood, so color and oak flavor show up fast. This new listing from an independent eBay seller is priced at $172.01 and, according to the title, comes with a stand and bung.

What does “visualized” mean on this 0.8L mini oak aging barrel?

The title doesn't say. It may refer to a viewing feature, but check the listing photos and description before you buy.

• Taste often: in a barrel under a liter, spirits can get too oaky quickly, so sample every few days.
• Swell first: fill a new barrel with water and let the staves tighten before adding spirit.
• Char level: the title doesn't give one. Ask the seller if toast or char matters to you.
• Counter-friendly: the stand suits a bar shelf or desk.
