Vtg USSR Wooden Keg Whiskey Barrel Stand Liquor Dispenser Metal Straps Barware

About this barrel

This vintage USSR wooden keg brings Soviet-era character to a home bar. It's a whiskey-barrel-style liquor dispenser on a stand, held together with metal straps. An independent eBay seller lists it as used for $47.50.

Can you still pour from a vintage USSR wooden keg?

Possibly, but treat it as a display piece until you know its condition. An older barrel may need a long water soak to swell, and you should check the tap for leaks.

• The listing doesn't give a capacity, so look for dimensions in the description.
• Check the photos of the straps, stand and spigot for rust or cracks.
• Ask the seller about any markings that confirm where it was made.
• This retro liquor dispenser is a good conversation piece for a vintage or Eastern European themed bar.
