ANTIQUE WOODEN BRASS LINED OAK WINE BARREL MAHOGANY WHISKEY BAR MOUNTED CASK

About this barrel

This antique brass lined oak barrel combines oak staves with what the title calls mahogany, set up as a bar-mounted cask for wine or whiskey. At $378.00, it's for buyers who want a statement piece for a home bar or study, not a working aging vessel. The seller hasn't listed a condition, so the photos matter even more.

What should you check on an antique brass lined oak barrel?

Look closely at the lining and the mount. The lining is what touches the drink, so its condition decides whether this barrel can pour or is purely decorative.

• Lining: ask for interior photos and look for tarnish, dents or open seams.
• Mount: confirm whether a stand or bracket comes with it and how it attaches.
• Tap: check the photos for a spigot.
• Size: no capacity is given, so request dimensions.

On a bar top, a mounted cask like this is a real conversation starter. It's covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
