Whiskey Wine Barrel, Vintage Reclaimed Used Wood Barrel, Primitive Rum Keg, L

About this barrel

Weathered staves, aged hoops and a primitive build give this rustic reclaimed oak barrel its appeal. An independent eBay seller lists it used for $495, with the letter L closing the title to mark this particular barrel. The listing describes it as a whiskey barrel, wine barrel and rum keg all at once, so ask what it actually held if that history matters to you.

How do you care for a rustic reclaimed oak barrel?

Low-effort care keeps old oak looking good for years.

• Dust with a dry cloth, and skip soaking unless you plan to use it for liquid.
• Rub rusted hoops with fine steel wool, then add a light coat of oil.
• Keep indoor humidity steady so staves don't shrink and loosen.
• Use furniture wax or a matte sealer for a protected, natural finish.

Measurements aren't stated, so confirm the size in the listing before deciding where it goes.
