10L Barrel Cask Wooden Storager For Wine Brandy Whiskey Beer Dispenser Keg

About this barrel

Home winemakers searching for a 10L oak wine barrel often want something that adds gentle wood character without committing to a full-size cooperage piece. This new 10-liter oak cask, offered by an independent eBay seller for $54.93, fits that brief and sits comfortably on a shelf or cellar rack.

Is a 10L oak wine barrel too small for red wine?

Not if you plan for it. Small casks pass flavor quickly, so a red can pick up oak in weeks instead of months. Sample often and rack off when it tastes right.

• Soak the empty barrel with water so the wood swells and seals before wine goes in.
• Keep it topped up, since headspace invites oxidation.
• Check the listing photos for the tap, stand and bung so you know what arrives.
• Toast or char level isn't listed, so ask the seller if it matters for your style.
