ANTIQUE 17'' OAK WOOD BARREL KEG 8 Bands Straps From Grampa Pretty Looking Used

About this barrel

Old cooperage has a look reproductions rarely match, and this antique 17 inch oak wood barrel keg shows it, with eight bands around its staves. The seller describes it as used and handed down from a grandfather, so expect real signs of age, not a showroom finish.

What should I check on an antique oak barrel keg?

Capacity and a formal condition grade aren't given, so rely on the photos and description. Ask the seller about anything unclear before buying.

• Bands: zoom in on all eight for rust, looseness or gaps.
• Best use: farmhouse decor, a side-table base or a bar accent rather than aging.
• Cost: $89.99 from an independent eBay seller.
