20L Vertical Wooden Wine Barrel w/ Faucet&Bracket for storing whiskey, rum, brandy

About this barrel

A wooden whiskey barrel doesn't have to be a giant cask. This 20L vertical oak barrel is listed new at $95.50 with a faucet and bracket, making it a countertop-to-floor option for a den, garage bar or man cave.

Does a wooden whiskey barrel work as decor too?

It can, since an upright oak barrel with a tap looks the part on a bar stand. The listing's focus is storing whiskey, rum and brandy, so if you plan to fill it, treat it as a working barrel and prepare it properly.

• Capacity: 20 liters, about 5.3 gallons.
• Wood: oak, per the listing data.
• Before first use: fill with water to swell the wood and look for slow leaks.
• Open questions: char, liner and exact height aren't given, so check the listing.
