20L Vertical Wooden Wine Barrel w/ Faucet&Bracket for storing whiskey, rum, brandy

About this barrel

This wooden wine barrel with a tap holds 20 liters and stands upright on its own bracket, so you can pour wine straight from the faucet. It's listed new on eBay at $95.50. It's made of oak, and the title calls it a wine barrel while also naming whiskey, rum and brandy.

Can you keep wine in a wooden wine barrel with a tap?

Yes, but oak adds flavor over time, so treat it as aging rather than neutral storage. Plan short stays and taste often, because a medium barrel adds oak faster than a large one.

• Swell the barrel with water before adding wine.
• Keep it topped up to limit the air above the wine.
• Clean the faucet between batches.
• Check the listing for any accessories beyond the faucet and bracket.

A good pick for home winemakers who want to serve from the barrel. The eBay Money Back Guarantee applies.
