About this barrel
Give a bourbon fan something to experiment with. This mini whiskey barrel holds 27 fl oz (800ml), and the seller lists it as brand new from Dashing Fine Gifts. The oak barrel is sized for small batches, not long-term storage.
What can you age in a 27 oz whiskey barrel?
Anything you'd normally finish in wood: whiskey, rum, brandy, or even red wine you want to turn into vinegar. Small barrels work fast, so expect short aging runs.
- Fill it with warm water and let the wood swell before the first use.
- Keep it out of direct sun and heat to cut down on evaporation.
- The listing doesn't mention a tap, stand or char level, so check the photos.
- Rinse and refill between batches so it doesn't dry out.
It's listed at $15 by an independent seller, and the eBay Money Back Guarantee covers your purchase.
