Antq. Keg Barrel Wood Canteen 10’ Long 6’ Circular Water Rum 18th 19th Original

About this barrel

Collectors of early drinking vessels often look for an antique wooden keg canteen, the small barrel style used to carry water or rum. The title calls this one 18th–19th century and original. An independent eBay seller lists it used at $399.00.

What size is this antique barrel canteen?

The title says 10' long and 6' circular, but the units seem unclear for a canteen. Ask the seller to confirm the exact length and the circumference or diameter before buying.

• Ask how the seller arrived at the 18th–19th century date.
• Check the photos for the spout, plug and any strap fittings.
• Look for shrinkage, cracks or replaced bands.
• Plan to display it rather than use it for drinking water.

Covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee. A compact piece of drinking history for a shelf or cabinet.
