Used Bourbon Barrels

About this barrel

Brewers, woodworkers and garden designers all hunt for used bourbon barrels, and this American oak listing is priced at $75. The title is short, so the details that matter most are in the listing itself.

What can you do with a used bourbon barrel?

Plenty. Brewers use ex-bourbon oak to age beer, and it also works for finishing spirits or making barrel-aged vinegar. Spent barrels become planters, tables and bar fixtures.

• Size: not given. Confirm capacity and dimensions before you buy.
• Quantity: the plural title may mean more than one barrel. Check whether $75 is per barrel or for the whole lot.
• Reuse for liquid: swell it with water first and check for leaks.
• Logistics: full-size barrels are bulky. Read the seller's shipping or pickup terms.
