Vintage LOWENBRAU OAK BEER KEG For Parts

About this barrel

This vintage Lowenbrau oak beer keg is listed as used and sold for parts, so it's a project or display piece rather than something to fill. For breweriana collectors, that can be exactly the appeal: an oak keg tied to a well-known beer name, priced at $75.

Can a for-parts oak beer keg still be used?

Treat it as decor or something to restore. A for-parts listing usually means something is missing, loose or damaged, so read the seller's description closely.

• Check the photos for the condition of the hoops, cracked staves and any missing tap or bung.
• The title doesn't give the size. Check the listing for capacity or dimensions.
• Once cleaned up, it could work as an accent in a pub, man cave or on a bar shelf.
• If its history matters to you, ask the seller about markings or labels.
