Antique French Small Peasant Hand-Held Oak Wooden Wine Barrel Keg c1800s

About this barrel

This antique French peasant hand-held oak wine barrel was made to be carried, and the title dates it to the 1800s. Small hand-held kegs carried wine away from the cellar. Today one makes a striking piece on a shelf or wine rack. It's listed as used.

How do you care for a c1800s French wine keg?
