20L Vertical Wooden Wine Barrel w/ Faucet&Bracket for storing whiskey, rum, brandy

About this barrel

An oak barrel dispenser on a home bar does double duty as a conversation piece and a working vessel. This one holds 20 liters, stands upright on a bracket and pours through a faucet. An independent eBay seller lists it as new for $95.50.

Can a 20L oak barrel dispenser work as decor?

It can sit empty as a rustic accent. Keep in mind that oak shrinks when it stays dry for a long time. If you plan to fill it later, swell it with water again before use.

• Measure your bar top, and confirm the barrel's dimensions in the listing.
• Set glassware nearby for a self-serve corner.
• Fill it with whiskey, rum or brandy when you're ready to start aging.
• Ask the seller about the wood finish if looks matter to you.
