José Cuervo Tradicional 100% Agave Mini 5QT Barrel American Oak

About this barrel

Tequila collectors may want this José Cuervo Tradicional mini 5QT barrel in American oak, a new piece branded for the 100% agave tequila named in its title. Five quarts is roughly 4.7 liters, a comfortable size for a home bar.

Is the José Cuervo mini barrel for aging or display?

It's listed under aging, but branded barrels are sometimes intended as decor. Confirm with the seller before you fill it.

• Wood: American oak, the type commonly used for aging spirits.
• Prep: if you use it for aging, swell it with water first and check for leaks.
• Parts: check the photos for a spigot, bung or stand.
• Display: it pairs nicely with a tequila collection or an agave-themed bar.

It's also a memorable gift for someone who already has a favorite bottle of reposado or añejo.
