About this barrel
A personalized 2 liter mini oak whiskey barrel is a gift that keeps getting used long after the wedding toast or Father's Day dinner. This new barrel sells for $59.99 from an independent eBay seller. The personalization is the main draw for groomsmen, dads and anyone with a home bar.
How fast does a 2L oak barrel age whiskey?
Faster than most people expect. A small barrel has more wood per ounce of spirit, so a 2L cask can change the flavor in weeks rather than years. Start tasting early.
- Engraving details: check the listing for what text or designs you can request and how to send them.
- First use: soak the barrel with water so the oak swells tight before you add spirits.
- Char: the char level isn't stated. Ask the seller if it matters to you.
- Order early: custom items can take longer, so check the seller's handling time if you have an event date.
