20L Vertical Wooden Wine Barrel w/ Faucet&Bracket for storing whiskey, rum, brandy

About this barrel

Rum fans who want a house blend can start with this 20L oak barrel for aging rum. It stands upright on a bracket and has a faucet for pouring. Combine a few bottles of light or gold rum, let the oak work and pour straight from the tap once it tastes right.

What kind of rum ages best in an oak barrel?

White and gold rums change the most, picking up color and losing some of their sharp edges. Spiced rum can gain depth too, though its added flavors may hide some of the wood.

• Batch size: about 5.3 gallons, so there's plenty of room to blend.
• Prep: swell the staves with water until the leaks stop.
• Other spirits: the seller also lists it for whiskey and brandy.
• Details to confirm: the char level and faucet material aren't stated.
