About this barrel
The char level shapes a spirit's flavor, and this 2 liter American oak aging barrel has a medium char. It's made for bourbon, whiskey, rum or moonshine. It's new and listed at $46.00, and the seller's title says it comes with gifts.
What does medium char do in a 2 liter American oak barrel?
Charring the inside of a barrel changes how the wood colors and flavors a spirit. Medium is the middle option between light and heavy, and the small 2L size speeds up aging.
- It can turn clear moonshine into a darker, oakier drink.
- Swell the barrel with water before the first fill.
- The title doesn't list the gifts, so check the listing for what's included.
- Taste often, because a mini whiskey barrel can make a spirit too woody quickly.
