New SUPER THICK 2 Liter .52 Gallon American Oak Rum Whiskey Bourbon Aging Barrel

About this barrel

The standout claim on this 2 liter American oak aging barrel is right in the title: "super thick." Listed new by an independent eBay seller at $52.00, it holds 0.52 gallons and is aimed at rum, whiskey and bourbon makers who want a little more than a 1-liter novelty.

Does a 2 liter American oak aging barrel age faster than bigger casks?

Yes. Small barrels expose more of the spirit to wood, so flavor and color develop quickly. The listing doesn't give an exact wall thickness, so ask the seller if it matters to you.

• Swell with water before filling, even with thick walls.
• Start tasting bourbon or rum after about a week.
• Char level isn't given, so ask the seller if you want a heavy char.
• Covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
