Vintage Wood & Iron Barrel Keg Banded Quarter Oak Decor Antique 11579

About this barrel

This vintage wood and iron barrel keg is a banded, quarter-size oak piece for antique decor fans, listed used at $189.95. Iron hoops on old oak give it a heavy, workshop look that fits a man cave, a farmhouse shelf or a brewery-themed bar.

Is a banded quarter oak keg for decor or for drinking?

The title points to decor, and that's the safe way to think of it. Antique kegs often have dried-out staves, so assume it's for display only.

• Quarter size: no exact capacity is listed, so confirm the dimensions with the seller.
• Iron bands: check the photos for rust, loose hoops or missing nails.
• Reference number: the seller lists it as 11579, which is handy when you message them about it.
• Placement: keep it away from heaters, which can dry out and crack old wood.

A sturdy-looking accent for anyone who collects old cooperage.
