20L Vertical Wooden Wine Barrel w/ Faucet&Bracket for storing whiskey, rum, brandy

About this barrel

If you want a 20 liter oak rum barrel, this new vertical cask is built around one idea: you pour what you've aged straight from the tap. It's listed on eBay at $95.50 and comes with a faucet and bracket.

How does a 20 liter oak rum barrel change the spirit?

Over time, oak can smooth out harsh edges and add color. At 20 liters the change is gradual, so you can build a house rum over months instead of rushing it in a few weeks.

• Fill it with water first and let the wood swell until the leaks stop.
• Start with white rum for a homemade aged rum, or rest a spiced blend.
• Keep it out of direct sun and heat to slow evaporation.
• Check the listing photos for the faucet style and how the bracket fits.
