Vtg Hand Made Miniture Wooden Keg W/tap

About this barrel

Small, handmade and fitted with a tap, this vintage handmade miniature wooden keg gives a bar shelf some personality. It's listed at $30.59 in new condition. That's unusual for a vintage item, so ask the seller what they mean by it.

Can a vintage miniature wooden keg with tap hold liquid?

The listing doesn't give its capacity or say whether it was made for aging or for display. Ask before filling it. If you do fill it, soak it with water first to see whether it seals.

• Ask for measurements so you know where it will fit.
• Check the tap for cracks, stiffness or missing parts.
• Look closely at the joints and hoops in the photos.
• It makes a thoughtful gift for collectors of old barware.
