Charred Wood Wine Aging Barrel Oak 2 Liter Whiskey Rum Bourbon Scotch Home Bar

About this barrel

A 2 liter charred oak whiskey barrel is a popular size for home bar aging. This new listing from an independent eBay seller is priced at $79.95. The charred inside helps give bourbon, rum, scotch or even wine more color and oak flavor as it rests.

How fast does a 2 liter oak aging barrel work?

Small barrels have more wood touching each ounce of liquid than big casks do, so a 2L mini barrel ages noticeably faster. Start tasting early, within the first couple of weeks, and keep checking.

• Swell it first: fill it with water and let the staves expand before you add spirits.
• Char level: the title says charred but not how heavy, so check the listing.
• Extras: check whether a stand, bung or spigot is included.
• Protection: covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.

A smart pick for trying homemade blends and small-batch home bar projects.
