5L 10L 20L Litre Wine Oak Barrel Spirits Whiskey SS Tap Bung Constant Pressure

About this barrel

This 5 liter oak wine barrel with tap is listed brand new at $147.75 by an independent eBay seller. The title also mentions 10L and 20L, but the listed size is 5.0L, so check which capacity you're buying before you check out. It has a stainless steel (SS) tap and a constant-pressure bung, which suits home wine aging and small batches of spirits.

Is a 5L oak barrel a good size for aging wine at home?

For most hobbyists, yes. Smaller barrels expose more wood per liter, so wine or whiskey picks up oak flavor faster than it would in a large cask. Taste it often.

• Fill the barrel with water before the first use so the staves swell and seal.
• Check the listing photos for the tap and bung style.
• The title doesn't give a char or toast level, so ask the seller if it matters to you.
• Your purchase is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.
