WhistlePig Rye Whiskey 10L Oak Barrel - RARE - NEW

About this barrel

A WhistlePig rye whiskey barrel in a compact 10L size is listed new at $325 by an independent eBay seller, who calls it rare. Because it's an oak barrel, it can serve as a working aging vessel or as a branded centerpiece on a home bar shelf.

What can you do with a 10L WhistlePig rye whiskey barrel?

Ten liters is small enough for home aging, so expect faster flavor pickup than a large cask. Many owners also keep branded barrels purely for display.

• Swell it with water first, then fill and taste often.
• Ask whether it has ever held rye or is an empty, unused barrel.
• Look for any spigot, bung or stand in the photos.
• Confirm the char or toast level with the seller.
