Red Head Barrels 1L Charred Oak Barrel for Whiskey, Rum & Wine

About this barrel

Rum, whiskey and wine all work in this 1L charred oak barrel from Red Head Barrels. It's new, sized for small-batch experiments and listed at $81.32.

Is a 1L charred oak barrel worth it for beginners?

It's an easy way to start. At one liter, you don't risk much if a batch goes wrong. The charred interior speeds up color and flavor, so you see results without waiting years.

• Swell the barrel with water for a few days before filling it.
• Start tasting after about a week, because mini casks work fast.
• When a batch is done, refill with a different spirit to build layered flavors.
• Purchases are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee.

A great gift for a home bartender who wants a hands-on project. It's small enough for a kitchen counter or bookshelf, and it looks good between batches too.
