5L Oak Whiskey Barrel Dispenser Decanter for Wine Spirits Beer Liquor - Brown

About this barrel

This 5L oak whiskey barrel dispenser sits between quick-aging minis and bulky full-size casks. It holds about 1.3 gallons, enough for several bottles at once. It's listed new at $101.83 in brown, and the seller lists it for wine, spirits, beer and other liquor.

Why choose a 5 liter barrel decanter over a 2 liter?

A 5L cask ages more slowly, so it's easier to stop at the flavor you want. You also refill it less often when serving at parties or a home bar.

• Fill it with water before the first use so the staves swell and seal.
• The title doesn't say if the inside is charred or toasted. Check the description.
• Look in the photos for the spigot, stand and bung.
• The brown finish looks good on a rustic bar cart, even empty.
