Small Oak Barrel Whiskey Wine Dispenser with Tap & Stand | 1L Spirit Aging Wood

About this barrel

At just one liter, this small oak barrel with tap and stand is about as compact as spirit aging gets. It's a used whiskey and wine dispenser listed at $63.00, so the wood may already be seasoned from an earlier fill.

How do you revive a used 1L oak aging barrel?

Rinse it with warm water, then fill it and let it soak until the staves swell and the drips stop. If it smells off, ask the seller what it held before, and clean it thoroughly before you use it.

• Ask which spirit or wine was aged in it before.
• Check the photos of the tap for cracks or stiffness.
• At this size, flavor comes out fast, so taste every few days.
• Look for gaps between staves that may need extra soaking.
