Wine Barrel, Wood Wine Barrel, Decorative Whiskey Barrel Bucket For Rum, Brandy

About this barrel

Not every oak barrel is meant to hold a drink. This decorative whiskey barrel bucket is listed as decor: a new wood wine barrel made to look good alongside rum and brandy, not to age them.

What's the difference between a decorative barrel and an aging barrel?

Aging barrels are built to hold liquid and usually have a toasted or charred interior. Decor barrels are about looks, and the listing should say whether this one is sealed, finished or watertight.

• Check the description for size, since the title doesn't give it.
• If you'd like to fill it, ask the seller first. A water soak test will show whether it holds.
• Want to age spirits? Look for a listing labeled as an aging barrel instead.
• As decor, it suits shelves, bars, patios and entryways.
